A core outcome set for adult general ICU patients
NCCR Chief Investigators, Associate Professors Naomi Hammond, Edward Litton, and Kimberly Haines, have collaborated with international partners to develop a core outcome set for adult general ICU patients. This project was led by collaborators from the Department of Intensive Care at Copenhagen University Hospital in Denmark. The international validation process, which also took place in Australia, involved adult ICU survivors (patients), family members, multi-professional healthcare workers (clinicians), and researchers with lived experience. In Australia, this also included a sepsis-specific group. The findings of this work can be found on the medRxiv preprint server at https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2024.05.29.24308094v1.
The NCCR investigator group looks forward to sharing many more projects in the future.
